A Day in the Life
(post added 1/27/12, written 1/11/12)
Yesterday started at 5am with a 4 hour break mid-day. Brought home to get ready for the evenings cocktail party with ABC/Disney, Dreamworks Execs., and more interviews. My driver picked-up my daughter, Libby, first and off to the Ritz-Carlton, in Pasadena, we went.
Libby says I need to act more like I belong here, in this, that world, like most of the other stars, because now I’m one of them. More detached and aloof about the lights, cameras, and attention. It’s weird. A little nerve racking, and exciting, trying to be natural and myself as much as possible in a very un-naturalistic environment. I think I did well.
If this blows up? I’m going to need a handler. Libby said maybe she could be my personal assistant. She said she likes the idea. I can’t image handling a person like me. When spontaneity is required, I’m on my game.
Normalcy? I’m still working on it, as now, my world fundamentally transforms to becoming more abnormal than ever…Weird and intimidating and wonderful and scary all at once.
Hello Primetime Network Television! This picture was taken by my daughter Libby while I was being interviewed at the end of the night by a television critic from Russia. Looking forward, I’ll be doing a press junket for radio, T.V., and the press in the San Francisco Bay Area (that’s where I grew-up), either before we premiere on February 7th or just after. Thanks for following me, I’ll do my best to keep you all posted on this exciting journey!
